Not very Cajun, actually

I'm not sure where the author got the idea that these were "Cajun" recipes, but they are about as Cajun as the average cheese curd in Wisconsin. Seriously, recipes for Texas black bean soup, stroganoff, and recommending serving anything with matzo balls?
I'm not Cajun, but I did work for a great Cajun cook for over seven years. I actively studied Cajun food, trying it from many famous restaurants and private cooks over the years. Calling this Cajun is just wrong, just as wrong as adding cayenne pepper to something and claiming that it's Cajun.
If you want to try Cajun food, this isn't going to help you do so. If you want to recreate a dish you tried in Louisiana, this isn't going to help either. This was a huge disappointment.
There are some great Cajun cookbooks out there, mostly hard cover, and I'd recommend trying one of those and forgetting this one.

The recipies are ok but don't call a cook book Cajun if it is not. I know cajun because I am cajun.

Cajun dirty rice and sour cream chicken are a delicious meal. And the seafood gumbo is out of this world. And if you add in the cajun peppered shrimp your taste buds will go wild. Thank you and enjoy your meal and enjoy your day
