Great insight into a friendship...

I am a diehard Amy Winehouse fan. Therefore I've read lots of books and articles about her. Sam's book was so great because it truly showed the love of the friendship. It was a mutual love...Amy loved Sam, as much as Sam loved Amy. It delved into the fact that Sam wasn't just a painter commissioned by Amy to paint her...but an an actual friend. She loved him and because of the love he had for her, he was able to capture her true beauty. I would recommend this book to any fan of Amy or any fan of Sam's artwork. Not only talented people, but genuine friends as well.

I loved Amy, as a fan and longed to be in her shoes. I can see how fame ruins some people, the money, the drugs, the alcohol,the fans, the paparazzi...it's all so stressful, and add to that all the money you could ever spend....life has to be so weird for them. RIP Amy, we all loved you and miss your beautiful voice.
