Where do I start?

I respect the author and know that he wrote this with the best intentions but this ebook just has so much wrong with it. So much so, that if this was the source you relied on to bug out, you'd probably be safer to stay in place. As others have noted, there is contradictory guidance in it. It's almost as if he wanted to share lots and lots of ideas and tried to cram all of them in here, regardless of whether it fit or not.
It touched on many topics but not in-depth--for example, the entire discussion of shelter didn't even talk about how to carry an effective shelter, just that the climate might change in a polar shift or total occlusion of the sun. That's not really helpful when you consider you can carry a small emergency tent, a bivvy sak, or paracord and a tarp to provide rudimentary shelter.
Examples of bad advice: the suggestion to use gun powder to cauterize a wound. There are several far better ways to do this in a far safer way, including Celox which is mentioned as an aside (and can be found at your local Walmart), and QuikClot which can be found here at Amazon.
Another suggestion, which is where he completely lost me: "Under garments for both sexes can be eliminated or included depending on preference. They can be uncomfortable to wear when hiking over long distances, especially for women wearing brassieres." WTF? If I'm leaving town, I'm bringing underwear. (Unless he means Mormon garments, which is not real clear to the non-LDS population.) Don't wear denim or wool--I completely agree with the no-denim sentiment and extend it to no cotton clothing, but wool is a recommended item given it's all-around qualities of insulative, odor-repelling, and can stand up to getting wet without losing it's ability to keep you warm. I was surprised there was no mention of fleece. Polar fleece will keep you warm in even the wettest of conditions.
Save your hard-earned cash, find a guide that explains different alternatives in depth, even if it means you have to spend a couple dollars more. If you're bugging out, it means something really bad has happened and the extra couple bucks would be money well spent.

Not Quite There

No Quite finished, it will take about 5 minutes to read the whole thing and all the information can be found over and over again on every prepper site out there. But you can't beat the price. I wish the author would have taken more time to really dig into the contents of the bag. If you are looking for a good book on the topic get a hold of "Build the Perfect Survival Kit" by John D. McCann, it covers every bag you would want to build for your car, home, plane, or boat.

Complete Nonsense!

This book is rubbish. The only reason to read the book is that it's so bad it actually made me laugh at times. The author seems rather delusional and paranoid, he wrote the whole thing with some pretty wild assumptions. He was working on the idea that everybody should have a fully stocked bomb shelter hidden somewhere, I'm not joking, and wrote the book to help you get there in a crisis. He also thinks that a complete and utter collapse of civilization is imminent, apparently the earths magnetic field will collapse and this will somehow lead to all technology failing. Because of these ludicrous ideas he ends up giving some very bad and sometimes dangerous advise. Cauterizing wounds with cut powder is just plain silly in 2013, there are many wound dressings on the market designed for serious bleeding that would be better that he just ignores. The far and away most common use of a bug out bag is in the event of a natural disaster and he didn't even try to deal with any of those possibilities, what sort of things to pack for flood prone, fire prone or storm prone areas was not mentioned. You can get far better information with half an hours searching on google. Don't waste your time or money!
