Can Rebecca turn her new stepbrother into her new love?
When Rebecca's mother marries Pres's father, Rebecca is sure that living in the same house with the guy of her dreams will have its perks and it will be just a matter of time before Pres sees her as more than a kid sister. About the Author
Ann Herrick is the award-winning author of several books and short stories for kids and teens. Included in the awards her books have won are the ALA Recommended Book for Reluctant Readers, IRA/CBC Children’s Choice and EPIC Best YA Novel Finalist. Ann grew up in Connecticut, where she graduated from The Morgan School and Quinnipiac University. She now lives in Oregon with her husband, who was her high-school sweetheart. Their wonderful daughter is grown, married and gainfully employed, and has given Ann her only grand-dog, Puff, a bloodhound-rottweiller-beagle mix and six grand-kitties. While she misses the East Coast, especially houses built before 1900, she enjoys the green valleys, fresh air and low humidity in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Ann loves cats, walking, the Oregon Ducks and working in her back yard. In addition to stories and books for children and young adults, Ann also writes copy for humorous and conventional greeting cards. Cute Short Read!!

I was given this story in return for an honest review. So glad to have the chance to read this cute story.
This was a fun short read.It's witty,well written,fast paced and full of fun characters.My favorite character was Josh.... He was the all time hottie in this book.Loved how he went out of his way for Rebecca and the little things he did just to be with her.
Rebecca has fallen in love with her "Perfect Guy".... Pres..(Prescott Nelson)
In her eyes he is the perfect guy. She has set her standards high and she will do whatever it takes to win his love.
Problem #1... is he is going to be her step-brother.Her mother and Pres' father have fallen in love and they get married.Rebecca thinks this her chance to build her relationship with Pres and make him fall in love with her.
Problem #2... Her new step father. He has some house rules that just don't set well with Rebecca. So she comes up with a plan to get on her step fathers good side.She agrees to write up a play for her school.In which her step father is the teacher of the class.So she is sure she can win his favor once the play is done and proves to him that she can do it.
Problem #3... She makes the two main charcters that fall in love,none other than Pres and her best friend Celeste.
Rebecca and Josh(Celeste's Brother) work together on all of the research for the play.They end up spending a lot time together.Making Josh fall even more in love with Rebecca than he was when they started.And boy things get even more messy!

A perfectly enjoyable read

When Rebecca's widowed mother marries again, Rebecca gains not only a stepfather but also a stepbrother, Pres. But Rebecca's feelings for Pres are anything but sisterly. In writing and helping to direct a high school play, Rebecca develops deeper relationships with many of her friends. She learns that life is full of surprises. This sentimental and often humorous YA novel was a perfectly enjoyable read and one I highly recommend to others. Ann Herrick is a wonderful author whose books are sure to delight those lookiing for a sweet but nevertheless emotional read.

It is probrably never a good idea to fall in love with a guy that is soon to be your step brother.Or have a mother who falls in love with a man whose son happens to be the guy you are crushing on.The Perfect Guy was a super cute read.I loved the main characters and the secondary characters.Celeste is so focused on one thing that she misses what has been right in front of her the whole time.Its real.That's what I love about it.I think many many teenage girls need to read this!This is definitely a book worth reading and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did!
