About the Author
Kerry Tombs was born in Smethwick, near Birmingham. After a career in teaching in both England and Australia he moved to Malvern where he became a local genealogist, lecturer and bookseller. He currently lives in Brittany in northern France. The Droitwich Deceivers follows four previous titles, including The Tewkesbury Tomb, in the thrilling Inspector Ravenscroft Series.

Good series mystery

Enjoyed the mystery series. Very good character. Recommend anyone for old England mysteries to read whole series that are available

Another Engaging Mystery From Kerry Tombs!

This is another enjoyable book filled with peculiar characters and an intriguing mystery. Ravenscroft and his wife Lucy work on separate cases involving missing children. Ravenscroft and his trusty constable have their hands full with the kidnapping of a wealthy girl. The girl's father is not a popular citizen in Droitwich and is condescending to his wife. As usual, the Inspector's investigation is thwarted by uncooperative suspects which irks him to no end! The urgency to find missing and exploited children keeps the tension building in the story. The story also pulled on my heartstrings. This series has not disappointed me yet!

Clever story

This story begins in a railway station when a young woman gives her baby away to a highly suspicious woman. Then ,of course, our Detective is called to Droitwich ,where a young girl has gone missing. The father is found to be a cold man while the mother seems to be very odd, drugged even. Puzzle on puzzle, his father and older brother died suddenly years ago, supposedly. Meanwhile ,Lily, the baby is found not to be where she should be add in a seemingly crazed old man ,and you have a Victorian mystery cozy read. Sorry it is the last so far.
